My name is Kenny Tang.
I am the creator and author of Curing Insomnia Center.
This is my story:
Sleeping well at night and getting enough sleep everyday is something that I struggled with before.
There was a point in my life when I did not view sleep as highly as I should have. At that time, getting enough sleep everyday did not seem important and I did not make it priority.
There was a period of time when I stayed awake all night to catch up on any work that I could not complete the day before. Being a severe workaholic and having an overactive mind will do that to you.
My nutrition was also less than ideal at this time.
I lost a lot of sleep over activities such as reading and watching television. It did not seem as though a lack of sleep was affecting me.
Gradually overtime this had a negative effect on my health as well as my physical and mental wellbeing.
I recall not being able to function properly.
As a result, I have experienced a number of different sleep disorders such as:
- Confusional Arousals.
- Hypnic Jerks.
Out of all the sleep disorders, insomnia is the one sleep disorder that I have struggled with the most. I know all too well what a restless night feels like.
The struggle to complete any task while being sleep deprived is very real.
One day, I finally realized what I was doing wrong.
Much improvement has taken place since those sleep deprived days. I have made some very important positive lifestyle changes such as creating a more balanced meal plan, monitoring the amount of caffeine I consume, exercising on a consistent basis and practicing mindfulness.
I have tried out a number of different things in order to find a solution to these sleep problems. Ranging from using blackout curtains at night, testing various sleep aids and incorporating an assortment of all natural techniques/routines into my daily schedule.
After all my experiences, I know fully understand how important sleep and what role it plays towards being a healthy functioning person.
Sleep is now a top priority on my list and I value it very highly.
The good news is that I now have little to no issue sleeping well.
I am here to help you get a better’s night sleep by encouraging you to make positive lifestyle changes that will improve your health. They have made a difference in my life and will do the very same for you.

The Goals of Curing Insomnia Center
The primary goal of this website is to help you achieve a better night’s sleep. There are four methods that will help you do so:
1. To educate you about sleep in normal day to day language
There is a lot of of information that pertains to sleep that can be found on the web. However, along with that information either comes too general/broad that does not expand on important details or has a lot of scientific or medical terminology that is too much to understand all at one time.
I will do my part to provide you with in depth information about sleep in a manner that is easy to understand.
We are going to keep things fun and simple.
In addition, I will also share my own experiences that I have had with sleeping issues along with scientific explanations and theories for each.

2. To keep you to up to date on self help techniques
The majority of people are aware of normal self-help techniques such as not performing any physical activity close to your scheduled sleep time, stressing out when you should be relaxing, or drinking too much water in the later parts of the day.
There are many self help techniques and I am going to help you discover them.
My goal is to impart you with information of all of the different known self-help techniques and to keep you updated on new techniques that I have discovered and tried.
3. Providing thorough reviews about sleep products
Product reviews are an important part of this website. Whether you are in the market for something as large as a bed cooling/heating system or a small item such as sleeping mask. I make every effort to produce unbiased reviews.
My goal here is that my knowledge and experience of the product will help you find what you are looking for that will both fulfill your needs and stay within your budget at the same time.
4. To faciliate participation and to respond to all comments
In my opinion, it is a great feeling to give back and to respond to people that visit my website. It is always interesting when visitors leave comment on the posts.
The best part is knowing that there are others out there seeking knowledge/help for the same problem that they are dealing with.
